U. S. U-19 Women's National Team 
July 2003: U-19 National Team Undefeated on European Trip
Ashley Phillips and the U-19 team traveled to Germany from June 29 through July 10.  The trip is described in a press release from US Soccer.   New England was well represented as the team is being coached by Jeff Pill, and the other goalkeeper is Laura Comeau, both from New Hampshire.

On 7/2 the US won over Germany 4-0 with Ashley in goal in Duisburg, Germany.  On 7/5 US won over Holland 3-0 with Laura Comeau in goal in Groesbeek, Holland.  On 7/9 the US won over Holland 1-0 in Heenk, Holland with Ashley starting, and Laura finishing. 

Holland and Germany are preparing for the UEFA (European) U-19 Championship that is taking place in Germany 7/25 to 8/3.
June 2003: Ashley Phillips and Jaime Gilbert were in Los Angeles for training with the US U-19 National Team on June 16-21, 2003 at the brand new Home Depot Center which will be the primary training facility for the US Soccer Federation.  The Home Depot Center will host the finals of the Women's World Cup in October.
May 2003: Ashley Phillips played at the U-19 US Youth Soccer adidas Cup in Spring, Texas from May 23 to June 1, 2003.  There are two US teams made up of players from the U-17 & U-19 National Pools; the U-19 National Team and a US Youth Soccer team.   Ashley is playing on the US Youth Soccer team that played games on 5/27, 5/29, and 5/31.  The game schedule is on the US Youth Soccer site.

Ashley started in the first two games against Japan and the US U-19 Team.  She played the entire game against Japan, which was a 0-1 loss, with an own goal.  Ashley played the first hour of the game against the US U-19 team, giving up three goals in the face of constant pressure.  The US U-19 Team won the game 4-1.
April 2003:  Ashley Phillips and ex-Spirit teammate Jaime Gilbert participated in the U-19 National Team training camp in Chula Vista, CA at the ARCO Olympic Training Center from April 26 through May 4, 2003.
US U-19 Team will not participate at the Pan American games in August 2003 as originally planned: Soccer America
U. S. U-17 Women's National Team   
August 2, 2003: U-17 National Team goes undefeated at U. S. Soccer Festival in Houston Ashley Phillips played at the U. S. Soccer Festival in Houston, Texas on July 28 - Aug 2.  Information on Soccer365.  Originally the Mexican U-19 team was going to play the US twice, but they pulled out of the tournament at the last minute.  Instead, the US team will play each of the USASA regional teams.   Ashley played whole games on 7/28 and 8/2 allowing only one goal.

March 2003: Massachusetts player Jaime Gilbert scored for the U17 team in Florida in March against Germany: Soccer America
Based on her performance at the Boca Raton Thanksgiving Event, Ashley was named to the US Youth Soccer ODP 1986 All-American Team.
November 2002: Ashley Phillips was named to the new US U-17 National Team which played at the Inter-regional Event in Boca Raton from November 23-30.  The US team played the U-17 (1985) Regional I & IV teams, as well as the U-17 National team from Scotland.  The USYSA site has a full description of the event.   There is a game  schedule on this site.   Here is an article on the Soccer365 site that includes the roster, and another about U-19 Coach Tracey Leone who helped coach the team with David Smith.

U. S. U-16 Girl's National Team   
July 2002: Spirit player Ashley Phillips was invited to join the U-16 Girl's National Team at the Region I 1986 ID camp at the University of Rhode Island on July 12, 2002. Ashley joined the team on July 24 for eleven days of training and games at the U. S. Soccer Festival at the University of Houston in Texas.  Ashley was the starter for two of the three games, USASA East and Mexico U19.
